Division 99 forces operated during the last four months in the northern Gaza Strip, east of the “Iron Wall” (the Gaza barrier), to destroy and neutralize above and below-ground terror infrastructure, and to thwart Hamas‘s rehabilitation attempts. Division 162 headquarters will continue their mission in the area.
During the division’s forces’ operations, approximately eight kilometers of underground routes were neutralized and numerous terror infrastructures were destroyed, including observation posts and structures used by terrorists for deployment and planning terror attacks against the forces. Additionally, over 100 terrorists were eliminated, including terrorists who infiltrated Israeli territory on October 7th, terrorists who held hostages, and terrorists who attempted to plant explosives against IDF forces operating in the area.
