The warehouses that were attacked stored rockets, weapons, explosives, grenades, and additional combat equipment used by Hamas terrorists to advance terror plots against our forces in the Strip. The attacked warehouses were established inside mosques and alongside humanitarian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. This is another example of Hamas’s cynical use of civilian infrastructure, including mosques and humanitarian infrastructure, thereby violating international law and cynically exploiting the civilian population. The attacks in the Gaza Strip constitute a clear warning. The IDF and Shin Bet will not accept any form of terrorist activity directed at Israeli civilians and will continue to operate with determination against any threat and take the necessary steps to maintain the security of Israeli civilians. The security forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
