IDF forces intercepted a drone on the eastern border, thwarting a weapons and magazine smuggling attempt and seizing nine Kalashnikovs, magazines, and a pistol.
IDF forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons and magazines on the eastern border. IDF observers and the aerial control system identified a drone crossing from the east into Israeli territory overnight (Sunday), attempting to smuggle weapons. Following the identification, IDF forces from the Yoav Brigade responded to the area and located the drone carrying nine Kalashnikov weapons, magazines, and a pistol. The located weapons were transferred for further handling by security forces. IDF forces will continue to operate to thwart smuggling attempts on the eastern border with the aim of maintaining the security of Israeli citizens.
