Chief of Staff’s Inspector: A surprise multi-corps exercise has begun to examine the IDF’s readiness for a sudden multi-arena scenario. Under the direction of the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Aviv Kochavi, it was activated early this morning (Sunday).

There is no concern of a security incident. The examination is part of an ongoing IDF process to strengthen the IDF’s foundations, the fitness and readiness of all levels of combatants and commanders. Within its framework, the implementation of operational plans is practiced and examined alongside lessons learned from combat in various sectors and from the events of October 7th. IDF inspectors, both regular and reserve officers, conduct inspections in units and headquarters to check their operational fitness and readiness. The exercise is part of the Operations Directorate‘s exercise schedule for 2026.
