Ichilov Hospital is contacting families of newborns after a security guard was diagnosed with measles. The Health Ministry urges prompt testing, vaccination.

The hospital, together with the Tel Aviv District Health Bureau, has contacted the families of the newborns to provide preventive treatment.

The Health Ministry emphasizes that anyone who was in contact with a measles patient must follow the Ministry’s guidelines for testing and vaccination and avoid visiting public places.

If you need to visit a clinic or emergency room, please call ahead to coordinate your arrival and inform the staff when you arrive at the medical facility.

measles is a highly contagious viral disease that causes fever, general discomfort, runny nose, and rash, and it can lead to severe and even life-threatening complications.

The Ministry stresses the importance of staying up to date with routine vaccinations against diseases such as measles, some of which can cause serious complications and death.

To check your vaccination status or schedule a vaccination appointment, contact your health plan or the Health Ministry Call Center at *5400. The call center operates Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..
