Jerusalem, 30 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s maximum price for government-controlled 95-octane gasoline will rise to NIS 8.25 ($2.77) per liter at self-service pumps, effective at midnight between Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 1, the Energy and Infrastructure Ministry announced. The new price, including VAT, matches the record high set in September 2012.

Fuel and Gas Administration Director Batsheva Abuhatzira said a 6% increase in international gasoline prices was partly offset by a roughly 3% strengthening of the shekel against the dollar.
