Israel Sees Mixed Trends in Appliance, Electronics Imports for August 2026
Israel's Tax Authority reports varied appliance import trends for August 2026, with washing machines and dishwashers seeing significant gains.
Jerusalem, 9 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Tax Authority reported a mixed picture for white goods imports in August 2026 compared to a year earlier. Refrigerator imports fell 9.6% and dryer imports dropped sharply by 45.2%, while Washing machine imports surged 101.0% and dishwasher imports rose 28.5%.
For the January–August period, refrigerator and dryer imports were down 13.7% and 53.2% respectively, while washing machines and dishwashers rose 22.8% and 12.4%.
Television imports climbed 31.5% in August compared to the same month last year, with cumulative imports over the first eight months of 2026 up 16.3% versus the same period in 2025.
