Jerusalem, 22 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Foreign investors’ securities holdings on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange reached a record $154 billion at the end of June 2026, up about $9 billion during the second quarter.

The increase was driven not only by new investments but also by rising Israeli asset prices and the shekel’s appreciation against the dollar. Foreign investors made net purchases of about $2 billion during the quarter, including $2.7 billion in stocks and mutual funds, while selling about $750 million in bonds.

Since the end of 2025, the value of foreign holdings has jumped by roughly $41 billion. The exchange’s shift to Friday trading in January also appears to have boosted foreign participation. Foreign investors accounted for about 41% of Friday trading volume, compared with 12.5% on Sundays in 2025.

Meanwhile, Israeli residents’ overseas assets reached $1.013 trillion.
