Over 22,500 Tons of Medical Supplies Entered Gaza Since Ceasefire Began

Since the Gaza ceasefire began, over 22,500 tons of medical supplies, including advanced equipment, have entered, significantly increasing hospital bed.

Jerusalem, 3 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — COGAT (Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories: Judea and Samaria and towards the Gaza Strip) reported that more than 22,500 tons of Medical supplies have entered the Gaza Strip since the start of the ceasefire, with medicines entering Gaza without restriction alongside the continuous entry of medical equipment coordinated with the UN and approved organizations.

Specific mechanisms are also in place to import advanced medical equipment for international organizations, including generators, X-ray machines and oxygen concentrators, with careful consideration of security concerns.

According to WHO data, hospital bed capacity in Gaza has grown by more than 50% since the ceasefire began. The Strip now has 20 permanent hospitals, 15 field hospitals, 107 medical points, and 146 primary healthcare clinics operating across the territory.
