Jerusalem, 27 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Foreign Ministry says it is working to locate and assist dozens of Israeli tourists reportedly stranded in mountainous areas of Nepal following an avalanche and extreme weather. Days of heavy rain have caused road closures and travel disruptions across the Himalayan country, complicating access to remote areas.
The ministry said the embassy in Nepal “is in contact with tour companies and local guides” to locate Israelis who have lost contact and assist in moving them to safe areas.
