Jerusalem, 27 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday night responded on X to 12 countries that condemned Israel’s eviction of UNRWA from Jerusalem, saying, “Your facts are wrong.”

The countries, all members of UNRWA’s Advisory Commission, condemned Israel’s “unlawful” entry and seizure of the agency’s center near the Qalandiya refugee camp.

Israel said UNRWA never had property rights to the facility and had occupied it unlawfully. The ministry said the site will serve as a school and community center for children in the Kafr Aqab neighborhood.

“All Israeli actions were carried out in accordance with Israeli and international law,” the ministry said.

The ministry also cited a USAID OIG report, referenced by President Trump, finding that more than 100 UNRWA employees participated in Hamas’s October 7 atrocities.

“UNRWA employees have served as terrorist operatives, and UNRWA facilities have been systematically used for terrorist purposes,” the ministry said, adding that this was why UNRWA activities in Israel were prohibited.
