Jerusalem, 22 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) has delivered its ARBEL Anti-Drone System (ADS) to Thailand’s Ministry of Defence, where it is now operational for day and night use following integration into existing rifles and on-site training.
The computerized fire-control system is designed to improve accuracy against small, fast-moving drones by regulating the firing cadence for follow-up shots, allowing soldiers to focus on tracking and aiming.
Thailand opted to integrate the system into its existing rifles rather than purchase new weapons. IWI completed the integration locally by replacing the rifles’ lower receivers with the ARBEL system.
Thai military officials are discussing an additional order with IWI, which expects further deployments across Southeast Asia in the coming months.
