Jerusalem police investigate vehicle explosion in Armon Hanatziv, suspecting explosive device; investigation assigned to Central Unit.
Investigators from the Oz station and bomb disposal technicians from the Jerusalem District arrived at the scene quickly and began collecting evidence and findings, which raised suspicions that it was an explosion originating from an explosive device. The Commander of the Jerusalem District, Superintendent Absalom Peled, conducted a situation assessment at the scene, during which he received an overview of the criminal background of the incident and the manner in which the explosion occurred. At its conclusion, he ordered that the investigation be assigned to the District’s Central Unit and that all resources be allocated to collecting evidence and identifying the suspects.
