After the victim arrived at the police station, swift actions were taken that led to the identification of the vehicle in which the suspects were traveling, which turned out to be a stolen BMW. A patrol and detectives team from the Iron Police Station located the vehicle and ordered its occupants to stop, but they ignored the instructions and continued to flee, driving recklessly into Palestinian Authority territory through Barta’a, with police firing at the vehicle. During the pursuit, the police vehicle was damaged and forced to stop, but police fire at the rear wheels of the vehicle led to its apprehension and rollover. One suspect was arrested in the vehicle, while his partner fled the scene on foot. While the force was waiting for reinforcements, a life-threatening crowd of about a thousand people began to gather around them. The officers responded immediately, fired warning shots into the air, and threw crowd dispersal devices to keep the crowd away and protect their lives. with the arrival of additional forces at the scene, extensive searches were conducted, leading to the location and arrest of the second suspect who had fled. During the forces’ exit from the area, rioters threw stones at police vehicles, resulting in three officers sustaining minor injuries. The two suspects, residents of Judea and Samaria, were transferred for further investigation at the Iron Police Station, after which they were jailed.
