Smuggling of 34 weapons foiled at the eastern border – two wanted individuals arrested. Early this morning, officers from the Jordan Valley Unit of the Judea and Samaria District Special Operations Unit, along with Border Police fighters from the Judea and Samaria region, fighters from the Jordan Valley and Emek Brigade, and the Mar’ol Unit, operated following the identification of findings indicating activity towards smuggling weapons in the Jordan border area. Upon receiving these findings, the forces set up ambushes using special technological means, which led to the arrest of two suspects, residents of Jericho in their 50s, in whose possession 34 pistols and two M-16 rifles were seized.
