Police Seize Over 6 KG of Suspected Hashish, Hundreds of Ecstasy Pills in Haifa
Haifa police seized over 6 kg of suspected hashish and hundreds of ecstasy pills during a proactive operation, arresting three suspects from southern Israel.
Jerusalem, 25 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Haifa police officers seized more than six kilograms of a substance suspected to be hashish, along with hundreds of ecstasy pills suspected to be intended for trade and distribution, during a targeted proactive operation at the entrance to the city, as part of Israel Police’s ongoing fight against drug trafficking.
This came after officers identified a suspicious vehicle and stopped it for inspection. A search revealed the large quantity of suspected illegal drugs, which was seized.
Three suspects, residents of southern Israel, were arrested for questioning and incarcerated upon its conclusion. The court granted police’s request and extended their detention until Sunday, August 30.
