Police Raid Arab Business in 100 Million Shekel Money Laundering Case, Arrest Four

Police in Israel arrested four suspects in a 100 million shekel money laundering operation involving fictitious invoices and luxury asset seizures.

Jerusalem, 2 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Police detectives from multiple units, along with investigators from the VAT Investigation Department and the Israel Tax Authority’s National Collection Enforcement Unit, raided a business in Qalansawe, several currency exchange businesses, and the homes of suspects in central Israel, as part of the fight against organized crime.

Suspects are accused of carrying out money laundering offenses and offsetting and distributing fictitious invoices totaling approximately 100 million shekels ($29.4 million) through the business.

Four suspects, residents of Qalansawe, Kafr Qassem and Tel Mond, were arrested during the operation. Authorities seized four luxury vehicles, gold jewelry, and approximately 50,000 shekels ($14,700) in cash.
