When one of the officers noticed the suspect attempting to escape, she engaged and tried to prevent his escape and bring about his arrest, while holding onto the car door. The suspect continued to drive with the officer hanging onto the vehicle, until she fell and was injured. She was evacuated for medical treatment with her condition defined as mild. Immediately after the incident, police forces launched extensive searches and a manhunt for the suspect, and at the end of an operational activity, he was located and arrested for investigation. Today, the police will request from the Magistrate’s Court in Rishon LeZion to extend his detention, according to the needs and findings of the investigation.
