Jerusalem, 4 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli police arrested the principal of a Palestinian school in Al-Eizariya, north of Jerusalem, overnight on suspicion of displaying materials that incite terrorism and express support for terrorists, police said on Sunday.

The arrest followed an intelligence-gathering operation after officers identified signs and images displayed at the school that allegedly supported and glorified acts of terror.

Police said they found and removed signs bearing images of Palestinian figures including Yasser Arafat and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. A map of Israel was also displayed with areas purportedly marked as “occupation zones,” alongside images of Israeli security forces, according to police.

During questioning at the scene, officers asked the principal, a woman in her 50s, who was depicted in the photographs. Police said she responded, “Heroes of Palestine.”
