Jerusalem District Police Arrest Tulkarm Resident Following Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle
Jerusalem police apprehended a 24-year-old Tulkarm resident after a pursuit of a stolen vehicle and a collision with a patrol car.
Jerusalem, 27 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — JERUSALEM — Israeli police arrested a 24-year-old Palestinian resident of Tulkarm in the Mishor Adumim area outside of Jerusalem following a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle, authorities reported.
The vehicle, stolen from the central Israeli town of Be’er Ya’akov, was intercepted by Jerusalem District officers. During the chase, the suspect intentionally rammed a police patrol car in a violent attempt to evade capture before law enforcement successfully brought the vehicle to a halt and apprehended him.
No severe injuries were reported in the collision.
An Israeli court extended the suspect’s detention through October 1 to enable security forces and police investigators to complete legal proceedings.
