Israel Police: Jaffa police arrest shooting suspect

Jaffa police arrested a 21-year-old suspect in a shooting incident, seizing a pistol and ammunition from his home.

A pistol and ammunition were seized during a search of his home. Earlier this evening, the police hotline 100 received a report of gunshots heard on Lib Ben Sara Street in Jaffa, with no casualties. Upon receiving the report, officers from the Jaffa station arrived shortly at the location from which the shots were heard, began collecting evidence from the scene, and an investigation was opened. Subsequently, a suspect (21) was arrested who is suspected of having carried out the shooting. During a search conducted near his home, a loaded pistol with ammunition was seized. The suspect was taken for questioning at the Jaffa station, and based on the findings of the investigation, the police will request an extension of his detention in court.
