Jerusalem, 6 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — LOD — Israeli law enforcement officers arrested a suspect Tuesday following a multi-district manhunt after a police officer was struck by a motorcycle in the city of Lod, officials confirmed.
Officers from the Lod Police Station and Central District Border Police launched an intensive search after the driver struck the officer in the Pardes Snir neighborhood, abandoned him at the scene, and fled. The injured officer sustained mild injuries and received medical treatment.
Police located and apprehended the suspect, a Lod resident in his 20s, near the Triangle regional area. The suspect remains in custody for questioning and is scheduled to appear before a magistrate’s court Wednesday as formal investigations continue.
