As a result of the explosion, damage was caused at the scene, with no casualties. The suspected background to the incident is criminal. Upon receiving the report, police officers from the Kiryat Malakhi station, police sappers, and forensic investigators were dispatched to the scene, who began investigation activities, collecting evidence and findings at the scene, and clarifying the circumstances of the incident. The commander of the Lachish district, Superintendent Eliyahu Shmul, arrived at the scene and conducted a situation assessment. Following the situation assessment, the investigation of the incident was assigned to the Central Unit (YAMAS) of Lachish.
