Israel Police has completed its preparations for the opening of the 2027 academic year. Below are The Israel police‘s instructions and recommendations for parents and students upon returning to school: ✅ Choose the safe route to school together with your children, and explain the dangers along the way and the safety rules. ✅ Do not allow children under the age of 9 to cross the road alone. ✅ Remind children to obey the instructions of the school crossing guards. ✅ Be sure to drive carefully in the vicinity of schools, slow down near crosswalks, and give pedestrians the right of way. ✅ Ensure at the end of the journey that no child is forgotten in the back seat. ✅ Ensure seat belts are fastened and restraint devices are used correctly. ✅ Drop off children close to the sidewalk or in a “drop-off” zone. ✅ Remember – the police are always with you: you can contact the community police officer (Mashak) at the school for assistance with any matter. ✅ In case of any unusual event or suspicion – report to hotline 100.
