Jerusalem, 16 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli authorities filed an indictment against four suspects accused of attempting to smuggle drugs across the Jordanian border on August 22, following a joint operation by Border Police, military, and specialized units near the eastern border fence.

According to police, forces observed the suspects throwing packages containing roughly 20 kilograms of hashish over the fence toward Jordan before attempting to flee. Officers arrested all four, including two brothers from northern Israel — one a minor — and two men from southern Israel.

The suspects were indicted on charges of violating state border sovereignty following the investigation.
