Jerusalem, 6 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An indictment filed against five defendants from the Arab town of Tayibe and the Jaffa area details the price list allegedly governing the ammunition market. One defendant purchased large quantities of 9mm and 5.56mm rounds, paying about 13¢ per 9mm round and about $1.66 per 5.56mm round.
According to the prosecution, Ahmed Tawil, the central defendant in the case, made about $500 in profit on a carton of 1,000 9mm rounds and about $332 on a crate of 990 5.56mm rounds.
In total, Tawil sold about 15,000 5.56mm rounds and between 2,000 and 3,000 9mm rounds in Judea and Samaria.
According to the same indictment, Tawil sold a Glock 19 pistol for $17,262, another pistol for about $15,000, and three additional Glock pistols for $11,618 each. In another transaction, Tawil sold an M16 rifle and a Glock pistol in exchange for a total of $33,000.
