Jerusalem, 9 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli police arrested a man in his twenties from Deir Samet, a village west of Hebron, on suspicion of inciting terrorism through online posts praising Hamas atrocities committed Three Years earlier.

According to police, the suspect published the content this week on Wednesday, October 7, marking the third anniversary of the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, massacre in southern Israel. Among the posts attributed to him was an explicit reference to the anniversary: “October 7 morning is approaching. The memory will remain as long as there is a heartbeat in the heart.”

The wording attracted the attention of security officials, prompting police to arrest the suspect. He was taken for questioning on suspicion of incitement to terrorism.

The arrest comes as Israeli authorities continue monitoring online activity suspected of glorifying terrorist attacks or encouraging violence. The allegations remain under investigation, and no conviction has been reported.
