Hamas Flag and Mock Explosive Neutralized Near Mount Baal Hatzor in Binyamin Region

Jerusalem, 27 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — JERUSALEM — Israeli Security Forces neutralized a mock explosive device and seized a Hamas flag discovered near Mount Baal Hatzor in the Binyamin region, police reported.

Responding to reports of a suspicious object, officers from the Binyamin Police Station deployed to the site alongside specialized Border Police bomb disposal experts. Bomb technicians conducted a technical assessment before carrying out a controlled detonation of the object, subsequently determining it to be an imitation explosive device designed to cause panic.

Israeli authorities confirmed that no casualties or property damage occurred during the operation. Police have launched a formal investigation to identify the individuals responsible for placing the device.
