Jerusalem, 7 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Four women were arrested by police during a protest Wednesday outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem.
The arrests took place as Israel marked three years since the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre. Protesters gathered at several locations across the country to commemorate the victims and demand greater accountability from the government.
Police have maintained heightened security around government institutions and the prime minister’s residence during the day’s demonstrations. The protest in Jerusalem was among a series of events planned by families and activists marking the anniversary.
Earlier on Wednesday, memorial events and demonstrations were held in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Gaza border region and elsewhere. Police have previously arrested protesters near the prime minister’s residence when they crossed security barriers or failed to comply with officers’ instructions.
