Following the fire that broke out in recent hours at a waste site in Usfiya, Carmel District police officers are carrying out road closures and traffic diversions in the area. Below are the traffic arrangements and instructions for the public:
– Damon Junction is completely closed to traffic.
– Al-Joud Junction in Usfiya is completely closed to traffic.
– Abba Hushi Road is closed to traffic towards Damon Junction.
– Due to the traffic closures, the public wishing to reach Usfiya is requested to enter the village from the direction of Eliakim, via Daliyat al-Karmel.
– Residents of the western neighborhood in Usfiya are requested to avoid exiting towards the incident scene and to keep access roads clear for the forces‘ operations.
The public is requested to avoid arriving at the fire scene, to obey the instructions of the security and rescue forces, and to use navigation applications to choose alternative routes, in order to keep traffic arteries clear and allow the forces to operate safely and efficiently.
