During his interrogation, it became clear that in addition to his oath to the terrorist organization, he began watching and searching online for content displaying instructions for preparing explosive belts. It also emerged that he intended to carry out an attack against Jewish Police officers and soldiers on the Temple Mount. Several days after the minor’s arrest and as part of the investigation’s progress, another suspect was arrested – Ibrahim Kaabia, a 19-year-old resident of Haifa, on suspicion that he too had sworn allegiance to ISIS. During his interrogation, it emerged that he planned to carry out an attack on an IDF base in the northern region. This morning, with the completion of the investigation phase, the Haifa District Prosecutor’s Office will file indictments and a request for the detention of the two until the end of proceedings in the Haifa District Court.
