Upon receiving the report, teams from the Jerusalem Envelope Border Police were dispatched to the scene, who identified the vehicle driving recklessly on the road, endangering other road users. Subsequently, the vehicle was stopped and the driver, suspected of transporting illegal residents, exited it and began to flee on foot towards the Issawiya neighborhood. Border Police fighters initiated a foot pursuit of the suspect, during which he did not respond to their calls to stop. During the pursuit, a suspect apprehension procedure was carried out, which included firing one shot into the air, and at its conclusion, the suspect was arrested. Four illegal residents were found in the vehicle and were also arrested. All suspects were transferred for further investigation at the Salem station of the Jerusalem District.
