45-Year-Old Man Killed in Caesarea Shooting Linked to Organized Crime

Jerusalem, 23 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A 45-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Caesarea that Israeli media reports are linking to organized crime.

Yanis Yushabyev, who reports describe as the “head of the Caucasian mafia,” has been arrested several times for throwing grenades at homes and businesses in Hadera and Or Akiva.

Magen David Adom paramedics said, “When we arrived at the scene of the incident, we noticed a man about 45 years old who was unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing and suffering from significant injuries to his body.”

Yushabyev was declared dead at the Hille Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera.
