Jerusalem, 31 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Authorties arrested around 30 Palestinians from Judea and Samaria who were allegedly Staying Illegally at an eastern Jerusalem construction site, police said Monday.

The arrests came as police stepped up on illegal residents across Jerusalem ahead of the start of the school, focusing on construction sites, businesses. The school year begins on Tuesday.

Police also arrested a suspect accused of transporting illegal residents.

Earlier in the day, 10 illegal residents were detained during a raid on a residential building in Tel Aviv.
