StePacPPC Launches Resealable Pouch Designed to Extend Fresh Produce Shelf Life
Israeli packaging company StePacPPC launched a new resealable pouch designed to extend the shelf life of moisture-sensitive produce, including cucumbers.
Jerusalem, 29 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli packaging company StePacPPC has unveiled a patent-pending resealable pouch designed to extend the shelf life of moisture-sensitive cucumbers. Developed at the company’s facility in Tefen, northern Israel, the Xgo PAZ pouch combines modified atmosphere, humidity and condensation control in one package.
StePacPPC says the technology can preserve cucumbers for up to 16 days while maintaining their texture, flavor and appearance. According to StePacPPC, US-based Wholesum Family Farms has begun using the pouches for its Lil’ Ones organic baby cucumbers, and Florida-based Freshway Produce is also using the pouches for exotic fruits.
