Jerusalem, 8 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — ARIEL — Israeli police in the Judea and Samaria District filed a prosecutor’s statement Thursday charging two 16-year-old Palestinian youths in connection with a September 18 arson attack near Homesh in Samaria.
Ariel Police Station investigators identified and arrested the suspects, residents of Nablus and Burqa, following a weeks-long covert investigation. Authorities confirmed that interrogations revealed the teenagers deliberately set the fires to target Israeli security personnel and disrupt civilian life in the northern West Bank.
Prosecutors expect to lodge a formal indictment charging the minors with arson, criminal conspiracy, endangering human life, and compromising regional security. Both suspects remain in custody pending formal court proceedings.
