Jerusalem, 6 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Itamar Ben Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit party said in a statement Tuesday that Likud had refused to sign a surplus-vote agreement with it, accusing the larger party of trying to weaken Otzma Yehudit and block Ben Gvir from a future unity government Likud is reportedly planning with Gadi Eisenkot.

The statement came hours after Likud signed its own surplus-vote agreement with Bezalel Smotrich’s Religious Zionism party. According to Israeli media reports, that leaves Otzma Yehudit with two options: sign a surplus-vote agreement with Ofer Winter’s Amcha Yisrael, or run without one.

Surplus-Vote Agreements can be signed up to 11 days before the election. But the Amcha Yisrael option carries its own risk: if Winter’s party fails to clear the 3.25% electoral threshold, any agreement with Ben Gvir’s party would be void, and Amcha’s entire pool of surplus votes would go to waste.
