Jerusalem, 13 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) — The forces of the IDF’s (Israel Defense Forces) 810th “Mountain’ Brigade,” which is responsible for the northern Golan Heights, under the command of the 210th “Bashan” (the biblical name for the region that is now northwestern Jordan) Division, responsible for the front with Syria, continue to operate in the Syrian region, in parallel with the defense mission in the Lebanese Mt. Dov sector.

Israeli forces have occupied parts of Syria since the fall of the Syrian regime last year in order to ensure that the areas do not fall into the control of terrorist groups.

During the week, the reserve battalions operating under the Mountain Brigade’s command located several central command headquarters of the old Syrian regime in the Hermon Mountains, which were believed to be in control of the Syria-Lebanon sector during the Assad regime.

During the raid, IDF forces located military equipment and more than three tons of weapons, including: anti-tank mines, dozens of improvised explosive devices and rockets, all of which were confiscated by the forces.
