Jerusalem, 7 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Ministry of Communications has completed its third incentive tender for fiber-optic infrastructure, awarding contracts to telecom operators Telran, Partner, and Pazzal to connect 29,208 of 29,913 remaining households in the country’s most geographically challenging areas.
The tender, part of a policy led by Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, targets peripheral and remote regions where commercial fiber deployment has been economically unviable, effectively completing Israel’s national fiber rollout map.
Around 95% of Israeli households currently have fiber access, among the highest rates globally. The ministry projects coverage will reach approximately 99% by 2027 and 99.9% by 2028, positioning Israel among world leaders in fiber-optic penetration.
