Jerusalem, 16 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli special forces from the anti-terror Duvdevan (Cherry) Unit arrested terrorist leader Muhammad Saadi in the Burqin area near Jenin Wednesday morning, acting on intelligence from the Shin Bet security agency, according to the military.
Authorities said Saadi was a senior figure in Palestinian Islamic Jihad linked to a Jenin-based terror network dismantled During a previous Israeli military operation, and was allegedly involved in directing funds for attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
The military said it would continue proactive operations across Judea and Samaria aimed at preventing attacks and maintaining security.
