Jerusalem, 22 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A 32-year-old Tel Aviv resident has been indicted for allegedly breaking into a well-known restaurant on Hayarkon Street and stealing cash, two tablets and three bottles of alcohol worth approximately NIS 5,900 ($1,900).

Investigators say a bottle the suspect left behind at the scene, bearing his fingerprints, helped police solve the burglary and arrest him.

According to the indictment, on October 3, at approximately 1:50 a.m., the defendant arrived at a restaurant on Hayarkon Street in Tel Aviv, climbed over the fence surrounding the premises and entered the outdoor seating area. He approached the restaurant’s cash register, opened it, and stole NIS 500 ($160) in cash and a tablet worth approximately NIS 2,000 ($645).

The defendant then entered the restaurant’s interior and began rummaging through cabinets and equipment. During his time inside, he stole a second tablet worth approximately NIS 2,000 ($645) and three bottles of alcohol worth a total of NIS 1,400 ($450).
