Jerusalem, 21 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled all scheduled campaign appearances in southern Israel for Wednesday, less than a week before the upcoming general election.

The prime minister was originally slated to attend a series of political events, campaign rallies, and field tours across several southern localities, including Yeruham, Mitzpe Ramon, Arad, and Dimona.

While official sources from Netanyahu’s campaign team cited sudden scheduling conflicts as the reason for the abrupt cancellations, they noted that some of the tours would be rescheduled for a later date.

Despite calling off his partisan political stops, official sources confirm that the prime minister is still expected to maintain his state schedule and participate in an official graduation ceremony at the IDF’s Officers Training School, as planned.
