Jerusalem, 24 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Labor Ministry Director-General Rubi Shemesh signed the support tests for 2026-2027, and the ministry launched a new, accessible online system Monday for submitting daycare and family nursery tuition subsidy applications.

Under Shemesh’s direction, the ministry created a service that updates parents on application status via text message, phone call or email, without requiring calls or waits for a representative.

Additional benefits include: subsidies now starting from a toddler’s first day in daycare regardless of application date; automatic data pulling from the National Insurance Institute and Population Authority, eliminating document submission for most parents; expanded service for parents with independent businesses, who will also no longer need to submit documents; and a personal system allowing parents to review their application status at any time.
