Israeli-Arab Parties Agree to Re-establish Joint List Ahead of Knesset Elections

Ahead of the October 27 Knesset elections, Israel's Hadash, Ta’al, and Balad parties have agreed to re-establish the Joint List.

Jerusalem, 19 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli-Arab Hadash, Ta’al and Balad parties announced Wednesday that they have agreed to re-establish the Joint List ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections. Hadash Chairman Yousef Jabarin will head the slate, followed by Ta’al Chairman Ahmed Tibi and Balad Chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh.

The agreement leaves open the possibility of the Ra’am party, led by Mansour Abbas, to join later.

Israeli is scheduled to hold national elections on October 27.
