Jerusalem, 9 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli military and Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service) said they carried out targeted strikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, destroying three weapons depots belonging to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, along with a rocket launch pit used during the war to fire at Israeli territory.
According to the IDF, (Israel Defense Forces) the depots contained dozens of weapons, including rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, and other military equipment. The military said it had recently observed Hamas operatives using the stored weapons to conduct guard duties and reassert control in Gaza.
