Jerusalem, 23 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Following Friday’s shooting attack in the Judea Brigade area, IDF troops and Border Police forces launched offensive operations in Hebron, imposing a full siege on the city and several surrounding villages. Security forces are searching the homes of the terrorists and additional suspects.
Separately, during the past week, the IDF, Border Police and Judea and Samaria District Police conducted dozens of counterterrorism operations under Shin Bet direction across Judea and Samaria. More than 70 wanted suspects were arrested, including individuals identified with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), as well as people accused of inciting against Israel and IDF forces.
Security forces also located dozens of weapons and other military equipment, including M16 rifles, Carlo submachine guns, airsoft guns, and four explosive devices. The operations are part of ongoing efforts to thwart terrorism and prevent further attacks against Israeli civilians and security personnel.
