Jerusalem, 2 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Following the success of last year’s ceremony, Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar announced the opening of nominations for the Ministry of Culture and Sports’ Israeli Film Awards ceremony for 2026.

as part of the ceremony, ten awards of 100,000 shekels ($29,400) each, totaling one million shekels ($294,000), will be given to outstanding creators in Israeli cinema, aimed at providing a platform and recognition for original, high-quality and diverse Israeli work.
