Breaking Update

Earlier today (Saturday), IDF forces responded to the area of the village of Deir Jarir in the Binyamin Brigade following a report of several Palestinians throwing stones at an Israeli civilian nearby.

An initial investigation indicates that upon the forces’ arrival at the location, a disturbance developed which included stone-throwing towards them. The reservist soldier carried out a suspect arrest procedure which included firing into the air and subsequently firing at one of the stone-throwers. The suspect was injured and evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital, and his death was later determined. IDF forces that arrived at the scene acted to disperse all those involved in the area. The case is under investigation. The details will be transferred for examination by the authorized bodies.
