Health Ministry: 145 Israelis Currently Hospitalized Due to War

Israel's Health Ministry reports 145 Israelis are currently hospitalized due to the ongoing war, with most injuries occurring en route to shelters.

Jerusalem, 5 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Since war broke out on Saturday, 1,473 people have been evacuated to hospitals, Israel’s Health Ministry reported.

Of that number 145 remain hospitalized in intensive care, including four in serious condition, 28 in moderate condition, and 67 with light injuries. Two other victims are under evaluation.

The majority of the injuries were not directly caused by missile strikes but while the victims were making their way to shelters. The Health Ministry urged senior citizens to proceed cautiously when heading to protected areas and called on neighbors to assist elderly residents in reaching shelters safely.
