Jerusalem, 8 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics released the data from the “Business Trends Assessment Survey – May 2026.”

In the Business Trends Survey, company managers are asked about the previous month (April), their current economic situation (May), and their expectations for the next month (June).

The survey data was collected throughout the month of May. Following the ceasefire in the Iran conflict, the Home Front Command’s restrictions on gatherings were lifted starting May 9. The survey data was collected primarily after the ceasefire and represents the economic situation of businesses during this period.

Net balance sheets on the company’s financial situation:

During May, there was an improvement in the net balance of businesses in all sectors. The figure was positive in all (except for hotels, which also saw a significant improvement compared to the previous month).

However, net balances have not yet reached the level they were on the eve of the war with Iran (February).

Economic activity balances in April compared to March:

The net balances on economic activity in April, when the ceasefire took effect, compared to March, are positive and high.

Expectations for economic activity in June:

The net balances on expectations for economic activity in June are positive and higher than the previous month.
